New Ruregold Technical Notebook Structural and Anti-Seismic Strengthening

The Technical Notebook, now in its second edition, is an operational tool aimed at designers of structural strengthening systems.
Each section is characterized by large tables (available free of charge in dwg format), illustrating the design, construction and application details of the technical strengthening solutions; the various systems are also accompanied by a brief presentation of the technical characteristics of the products used and photos of the proposed solutions.

The Technical Notebook showcases Ruregold's extensive know-how in the field of structural strengthening for concrete and masonry buildings, acquired during almost 20 years of experience in the field, in particular: high-performance composite materials, such as the FRCM range, the first such products to be awarded international validation certificates, as well as the range of technologies aimed at the building reconstruction market, such as the new Reinforced Plaster system – CRM System combined with G-MESH 400/490 meshes, MX-PVA fibre-reinforced mortar for strengthening masonry in the absence of extensive reinforcements, solutions for securing and repairing slabs based on the Stucanet system and the HPFRC high-performance fibre-reinforced micro-concretes.

RUREGOLD exploits the performance of composite materials applied to FRCM and FRP technologies, which, thanks to their particularly high-performance strength, lightness and practicality, lend themselves to selective procedures to be applied in areas of structural criticality.
The strategy of the seismic improvement and retrofitting aims to eliminate the local collapse mechanisms and increase the resistance and deformation capacities of the structural elements.
This objective is achieved by increasing the local ductility in reinforced concrete structures with the aim of achieving box-like behaviour of load-bearing masonry constructions, eliminating uncontrasted thrusts and connecting the load-bearing elements together.
The resistance and deforming capacities of the single reinforced element and the adhesive capacity of the strengthening system to the structure are of fundamental importance for the effectiveness and reliability of the solution.
This adhesive capacity is a certified and proven feature of Ruregold products and solutions.
LECA offers building safety solutions with a particular focus on horizontal structures, with the aim of implementing solutions designed to achieve "box-like behaviour" of the existing building.
The effective connection between the slabs and the walls is essential to ensure the structural continuity of the building's supporting elements: the slab has the role of redistributing the horizontal forces on the walls as effectively as possible, forming a rigid plane, as well as preventing them from overturning.
Perimetro Forte is Leca’s innovative system for anti-seismic perimeter bracing buildings, consisting of Perimeter Connector and Chemical Anchor.
In combination with the range of CentroStorico Connectors, Concretes and Leca lightweight Screeds, it makes up the Leca Anti-seismic Strengthening System, which is capable of reducing the weight on structures by up to 50% (compared to a traditional solution) ensuring positive effects both by reducing oscillating masses during the seismic event and on the increasing the effective capacity of the slab.
